Description
Kathryn Knopp and Phillip Webster, De Zavala Elementary School students, examining Hoffman butterflies. The butterflies were given to the Fort Worth Children's Museum, located at the De Zavala school, from the American Museum of Natural History. The Children's Museum also received specimens from the American Museum of Natural History's department of anthropology through the courtesy of Mrs. A. Perry Osborne, acting president of the Museum, Museum director W. M. Faunce. Several dozen butterflies are located in a display case. Phillip Webster is holding one of the samples while Kathryn Koop looks on. Both children are dressed in typical school clothing.
