Description
Private First Class Bill O'Mara, discharged serviceman. H served 21 months in Europe with the 82nd Airborne Division. Private O'Mara is a graduate of Fort Worth's Riverside High School and the North Texas Agricultural College (N. T. A. C.|| and plans to continue his veterinary course work at the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College (TAMC) in College Station, Texas. While overseas, O'Mara was a member of a medical company that landed by glider in the airborne invasion of Holland, and was with the first permanent occupation troups in Berlin. In the photograph, Private O'Mara is wearing his military uniform which is decorated with a number of honor patches. There is also a patch on his hat.
