"A paper dolly," Benzedrine. Prison officials uncovered a new kind of drug operation behind the walls of the Texas state penitentiary. Several employees were fired for aiding in smuggling Benzedrine inhalers to convicts. The photograph shows an inhaler and the warning label. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 31, 1945.
