Captain Julian C. Harris Jr., shown with his daughter, Carolyn, 3, and Mrs. Harris, had to charter a taxi from Tyler to Dallas as part of his trip to get home in time for Christmas Eve, but he made it. Captain Harris is shown with his family at his home at 4621 Foard. Captain Harris is sitting on the couch with his family in his military uniform. Carolyn is wearing a light-colored dress and staring up at her father. Mrs. Harris is wearing a blazer and skirt. Next to the couch is their Christmas tree. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 27, 1945.
