Among the children most eagerly awaiting a visit from Santa Clause are these three little girls who are polio patients at City-County Hospital. Sharon Ruth Blakeley, left, Janis Marie Kahanek, right, and Brenda Ann Montgomery, center. Many gifts were brought in from strangers to make it seem more like Christmas. Sharon Ruth is laying in a crib with two baby dolls. Brenda Ann is sitting in a wheelchair, hugging a teddy bear. Marie is laying in a crib filled with toys. There is a Christmas tree between the two cribs. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 21, 1945.
