Description

Fort Worth, Texas friends of Governor W. Lee O'Daniel will present him with the sound-equipped truck (shown here) when he arrives in Waco, Texas to open his campaign for renomination. Jay McKee, left, is explaining to Jimmie Reader how the dome atop the truck, simulating the one on the state capital, is raised and lowered. Mr. McKee and Mr. Reader are wearing shirts and trousers. On the truck are the words, "W. Lee O'Daniel For Reelection." Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning July 1 1940.
