Swashbuckling Billy Pyle, Wichita Falls Coyotes halfback, rips from his own 45-yard line to the Odessa 45 on this play in the quarterfinal contest staged in Wichita Falls, Texas. Laying a tackle on the fast moving Pyle is J. W. Thompson, Odessa's great fullback who left a sick bed to play in the game which Wichita Falls won, 35-0.
