Fourteen players from Handley, Diamond Hill and Birdville high schools comprise the District 14-A all-district, all-opponent squad. One player, Charles Deaver (not pictured), of Diamond Hill High School, was killed in a hunting accident last October. The players are, left to right, front row: Benny Miers, Handley, Guard; Don Powers, Handley, Back; Bobbie Young, Handley, Back; Fred Torres, Diamond Hill, Tackle; Benny Daniels, Diamond Hill, Back; Tommy Brunner, Diamond Hill, End. Left to right, back row: Raymond Fetter, Birdville, Tackle; Bob Barron, Handley, End; Ruel Austin, Handley, Back; J. B. Heatherly, Birdville, End; Bill Rollins, Handley, Tackle; Carl Pringle, Handley, Center; Charles Johnson, Handley, Guard. The players are all wearing their respective school's letterman jackets.
