    Description

    Lewell Lafferty, left, county chairman of the Victory Loan campaign, greets officers of the 43rd Cavalry Squadron, Camp Bowie, that will serve as an honor guard for General Jonathan M. Wainwright during his visit to Fort Worth, Texas. The officers are, left to right, Lieutenant Colonel Phillip B. Davidson, commanding officer of the unit, Captain Harlan L. Sluyter, staff officer, and Lieutenant John L. Taylor, staff officer. The cavalry unit was once commanded by General Wainwright. Mr. Lafferty is wearing a suit and the officers are wearing their military uniforms.
