Description
One of the smoothest working departments in the Star-Telegram is the mailing room on the basement mezzanine. Here a crew of 22 men work with precision to get the papers to the dealers and individual subscribers. Where mail subscribers may not get Sunday's paper until Monday, they are assured of Sunday's comics, for they are mailed in Saturday's paper. The comics make busy weekends for mailers as they must be inserted by hand in the black and white sections. D. Q. Gee takes an armful of comics off the conveyor belt. He is wearing a striped button-up shirt and trousers and is smoking a cigarette.
