Description
One of the smoothest working departments in the Star-Telegram is the mailing room on the basement mezzanine. Here a crew of 22 men work with precision to get the papers to the dealers and individual subscribers. One of the most interesting gadgets in use on the Star-Telegram is the machine used to tie the wrapped bundles of papers with wire. The operator, James Gore, wraps the wire loosely around the bundle; the machine does the rest. He is wearing coveralls. On the back wall is a clock.
