Lieutenant J. W. Jennings, right, veteran of 16 months in the Aleutians and now stationed at Augusta, Georgia, timed his leave so his wife, center, a Texas Christian University (TCU) graduate of 1943, could attend the school's homecoming game. With them is Miss Genevieve Schneider, left, also in the 1943 class. Lieutenant Jennings was graduated from Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College (Texas A&M) in 1942. The lieutenant is wearing his military uniform. Mrs. Jennings and Miss Schneider are wearing blouses, blazers and skirts and are sporting homecoming mums.
