    Description

    Doctor Charles H. McCollum Junior, after three years and one month in the Navy, was separated at Camp Wallace Nov. 20 and has resumed his practice in the Mid-Continent Building . After entering the Navy in 1942, he was sent to San Diego Naval Hospital as staff member. The next month he was ordered overseas to a naval hospital in American Samoa. In January 1943 he was transferred to the 3rd Marine Division. He became executive officer and chief of surgery of the Marine field hospital attached to the 3rd Division. The division trained in New Zealand and he returned to the U.S. arriving in Fort Worth Christmas night, 1943. In the picture you can see Dr. McCollum wearing a striped suit and standing in front of a wall.
