Description
Donald R. Pierson, is back in civilian clothes and back in Fort Worth after 18 months' overseas service with the Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific. He and his wife, the former Miss Ane Ellis of Ruston are visiting his mother, Mrs. F.A. McAfee , in 1428 8th Ave. He joined the Navy 1942 and 16 months later he was sent to England, on June 6, 1944, he landed in France on an LST. Pierson was returned to the States for a short leave and then sent on to the Pacific, where he served for three months at the Aiea Naval Hospital; Cahu and for the past seven months at the Yonton Air Field, Okinawa. In the picture you can Mr. Pierson standing in front of a wall. He appears to be wearing a plaid shirt and a leather jacket.
