    Description

She has spanked every man of main street and some of their wives, jounced the infant now known as General Eisenhower on her knee, taught school for 50 years and never, never appears in public without he latest in hats topping her white hair. She taught the adult population of the city its ABC's and since 1937 when she halted her teaching career at the 50-year level, she has been the self-appointed "principal" of the city. The city unanimously approved Miss Jennie's action. The war found her directing the Denison Red Cross and properly honoring Denison's most famous son, a child of an M-K-T Roundhouse employee and his intensely blue-eyed wife. Ike was on a long list of "her boys" whom she wrote. Miss Jennie is a native of Paris, Texas. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Jackson. Her father was a merchant and a landowner.
