Description
At Decatur's homecoming and memorial service Friday, "Gold Star Mother" certificates were presented to relatives of most of the county's 76 war dead.. Lieutenant Colonel. J. C. Crowson, chaplain presenting certificates to Mrs. C. R. Woods, Fort Worth, left and Mrs. Gene Stokes of Decatur, center, who both lost their sons during battle. The women appear to be wearing black coats, hats, and eyeglasses, Col. Crowson is wearing his uniform and handing over the certificates. There is a crowd of people in the back.
