Lieutenant (junior grade) R. W. Rhoads, Latrobe, Pennsylvania, studying oriental languages at Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (A&M), yelled for the Aggies with Mrs. E. L. Waldrop, left, Wichita, Kansas, and Miss Betty Waldrop, A&M junior. Lieutenant Rhoads was injured in the kamikaze attack on the United States Ship (USS) Saratoga. He is wearing his military uniform. Mrs. Waldrop is wearing a dark-colored dress and a hat. Miss Waldrop is wearing a blouse and matching blazer and skirt. They are sitting in the bleachers, watching the football game against Texas Christian University (TCU) at TCU Stadium.
