Description

These men hold medals for "faithful service" in the Texas National Guard, awarded in Fort Worth, Texas, at the 16th anniversary dinner of Service Company of the 144th Infantry. The winners, and their years of continuous service, are, left to right, Sergeant James E. Mitchell, over 10, Master Sergeant Paul J. Clemens, over 15, First Sergeant Jack Knebles, over 10, Master Sergeant Rush B. Smith, over 15, Private First Class Eugene V. Eblen, over 10, Staff Sergeant Raymond E. Bateman, over 5, Private C. C. Carr, over 5, Staff Sergeant Luther L. Melton, over 5, and Master Sergeant William J. Hefner, over 10. The men are wearing their Texas National Guard uniforms.
