Description
Kenneth Clemens is a Seaman Second Class in the United States Navy. While stationed on a submarine in the Pacific, he engaged in a wager with four of his mates. They agreed to not shave again until they received their discharge papers and returned to "civvies." The penalty for dragging out the razor early is six months' pay. Seaman Clemens has been growing his beard for ten weeks. With only 32 discharge points, he figures his wife and children won't recognize him by the time he is discharged. Seaman Clemens is standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
