    Mrs. Arthur W. Holmes is posing with souvenirs from the Pacific. The items were sent by her husband, Chief Machinist Mate Holmes, who is serving with the Seabees in the Philippines. Chief Holmes is part of the 1022nd Detachment Construction Battalion. Mrs. Holmes is dressing up in the hemp hat and a shell necklace. There is also a grass skirt, knives, shells, and coconuts on the table.
