Major and Mrs. Thomas A. Dodson have been reunited after more than four years apart. Major Dodson is a member of the Lost Battalion and was recently released from a Japanese prison camp. He fought with the 131st Field Artillery, 36th Division, which fell before the Japanese on Java in March, 1941. Many of the soldiers were unaccounted for. Family and friends of the Lost Battalion have waited years for news on their loved ones, many holding out hope for a happy reunion. In 1943 Major Dodson sent a letter through the Prisoners Information Bureau in Tokyo, Japan, marking the first known correspondence from the Lost Battalion. The couple was finally reunited at the Texas and Pacific Railway Station in Fort Worth, Texas. Mrs. Dodson is wearing a blazer and a skirt. Major Dodson is dressed in his military uniform.
