Description
Richard Landis is retiring from the Texas and Pacific Railroad (T&P) after 47 years of service. He was born on a Kansas ranch and worked as a cowboy before starting his railroad career. Mr. Landis became an engine foreman for the T&P on November 3, 1897. Mr. Landis plans to spend his retirement traveling with his wife, when weather permits, and playing bridge and other table games. Mr. and Mrs. Landis have one daughter, Miss Mildred Landis, a government employee. Mr. Landis is shown standing against a wall. He is wearing a hat and a suit with a pocket square.
