Description
Ensign Hallye E. Schwier, of the United States Coast Guard Women's Reserve (SPAR), is the first recruit of Tarrant County, Texas. She is home in Fort Worth, Texas, on a ten-day leave to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Johnson. Ensign Schwier joined the Coast Guard in December 1942. At the end of her leave, she will report to Washington, D. C., as a war bond officer. Ensign Schwier is shown standing against a wall, dressed in her military uniform.
