Description
The Department of Labor has called an oil workers strike conciliation meeting in Chicago, Illinois, to resolve the oil strike. Boarding a train for Chicago Sunday morning, left to right, are E. Carl Mattern, E. C. Conarty, O. A. Knight and Harvey O'Connor. Mr. Mattern is the vice president of the Oil Workers International Union (C. I. O.). He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Mr. Conarty, secretary treasurer, is wearing a hat and a dark suit. Mr. Knight, president, is dressed in a hat and a double breasted pinstripe suit. Mr. O'Connor, public relations director, is smoking a cigarette. He is dressed in a striped suit.
