Description
Major A. A. Burdick is a decorated veteran of the European Theater. He graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in 1942. He served with the 11th Armored Division of the 3rd Army. He wears a Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Purple Heart. Major Burdick and his wife, the former Miss Martha Lynn Carter, are in Fort Worth, Texas, visiting her parents. Major Burdick is on terminal leave, and the couple will next visit New York. The major will be retired from active service in December. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
