Description

A group of Texans from the famed 45th "Thunderbird" Division are passing through Fort Worth, Texas, en route to Fort Sam Houston. They are returning on furloughs after traveling 25,000 miles to help with the war. Posing between two trains, left to right, are Sergeant John C. Hughes (Hereford, Texas), Sergeant L. L. Allen (Cisco, Texas), and Sergeant R. C. Alexander (Colorado City, Texas). All three men are dressed in their military uniforms.
