Description
A group of Texans from the famed 45th "Thunderbird" Division are passing through Fort Worth, Texas, en route to Fort Sam Houston. They are returning on furloughs after traveling 25,000 miles to help with the war. Posing at the train entrance are Private First Class Myron Howard (seated), Corporal Robert Bassett (left), and Private First Class Corbitt B. Reid. Private Howard is a native of Gainesville, Texas. Corporal Bassett, of Abilene, Texas, is a Technician 5th Grade. Private Reid is from Madisonville, Texas. All three men are dressed in their military uniforms.
