Description
R. H. (Bob) Steele, Seaman First Class. Steele is shown wearing his seaman's uniform as he stands in front of an empty wall and smiles slightly. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Steele. Steele participated in three engagements in Okinawa, Japan and was caught in typhoons off Luzon and in the China seas. Steele has also been in overseas service for 18 months and wears five bronze battle stars.
