    Description

    E. A. Stokes, an overseas veteran of World War I, is comparing experiences with his two sons and son-in-law. Pictured left to right are Private Thomas C. Harrison, Mr. Stokes, Corporal Weldon A. Stokes, and Private First Class Charles I. Stokes. They recently returned from Europe and are spending their furloughs together. Private Harrison and Private Stokes served overseas only a few months with the army of occupation in Germany. Corporal Stokes is a technician fifth grade, stationed in Italy for 23 months. All four men are members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post Number 2137.
