Description
Mrs. C. E. Cryer and cake. Mrs. Cryer is shown sitting at a kitchen table with an upside-down cake she baked for her son, seaman Harold J. Cryer, who returned after 33 months of service. Mrs. Cryer is holding a bread knife over the dessert and appears to be cutting some of the cake, so she can serve it. She is wearing a dotted dress with a pair of eyeglasses. Next to her is an empty wooden chair and behind her a kitchen cabinet can be seen.
