Army Air Forces First Lieutenant Omer Whitwell, McKinney, Texas. Shown is a framed picture of a Whitwell dressed in military uniform. Whitwell was wounded three times at Gros Rosenburg, Germany. He was a member of Company K, 320th Infantry 35th Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart with two clusters, the Silver Star with one cluster, the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Whitwell.
