Mrs. George M. Rothrock is baking a homemade pie for her son, John D. Rothrock, who recently returned from 27 months in the European Theater. Mr. Rothrock served in the United States Army with 36th Division, and won five battle stars. Now that he's home, Mr. Rothrock has been putting on some the weight he lost while serving. His mother is shown taking a pie from the oven. She is wearing a striped dress and a floral apron.
