Lieutenant Colonel John E. Lutz has spent the past two years with the Quartermaster Corps in England. He has returned home to Fort Worth, Texas, on a 30-day leave to spend time with his family. Colonel Lutz is a department head in the area petroleum office in London, England. His most important assignment was to help plan the method of supply for all troops in Southwest England in preparation for the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. The colonel was in the reserves for 12 years, and on active service the past four years. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
