Description

A special grand jury has been seated at the Van Zandt County Courthouse in Canton, Texas, to probe into the mysterious murder case of Mrs. Martha A. Corbin. The wealthy widow died three weeks earlier at her estate on the Tyler-Dallas Highway near Edom, Texas. Sheriff Clyde Elliott is in charge of investigating the murder of Mrs. Corbin. He took the confession of a maid, Della Griffin, who admitted her role in the slaying. Si Ellis is being charged as an accomplice. Sheriff Elliott is shown standing against a wall. He is dressed in a hat, polka-dot shirt, necktie, and trousers.
