Jack M. Smith is an Aviation Radioman Second Class in the United States Navy. He is home in Fort Worth, Texas, spending a 30-day leave with his mother, Mrs. Helen Smith. Radioman Smith spent eleven months on a carrier-based plane in the Pacific. He won the Distinguished Flying Cross (D. F. C.) and the Air Medal with five clusters. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
