Description
The Texas Guardettes are starting a drive for recruits. Leading the drive, left to right, are Virginia Jergins and Virginia Hagemeier. Depleted ranks are attributed to the return of husbands from overseas and the cutback in forces of various war plants. The Texas Guardettes are made up of young Fort Worth, Texas, women. The organization meets every Wednesday at the Armory. Duties of the Guardettes are to aid at the Service Men's Center and be subject to call at all times to help in civic organization programs. Miss Jergins is operating the organization's phones. Miss Hagemeier is heading the recruit drive. The women are dressed in their uniforms.
