Chief Petty Officer A. A. "Gus" Jackson is returning home to Fort Worth, Texas, after 27 months in the Pacific. He is spending his leave with his wife before reporting to Galveston, Texas, for discharge. Chief Jackson is an assistant chaplain in the Navy. He spent a majority of his time overseas on the Solomon Islands, doing missionary work with the 47th Construction Battalion. Chief Jackson is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
