Description
One of the most promising Texas Christian University basketball teams is preparing to kick off their 1940 season. The Frogs were winners in six out of ten practice games and hope to continue that hot streak against Rice this weekend. The team is shown posing in the bleachers wearing warm-up suits. They are left to right, on the first row Woodrow Duckworth, Leonard Cannaday, Captain Mac Best, Jack Billingsley, and Herman Hoover. On the second row are Guy Holt, Buddy Barron, Ralph Tankersley, Robert Groseclose, and Dennis Tankersley. On the third row are Trainer Albert Smith, L. A. Monroe, Bobby Childers, Ben Abney, and Coach Mike Brumbelow.
