Description
Delores Ann Armstrong, 9, who will be presented with the Bronze Star and Silver Star medals awarded posthumously to her father, looks through her scrapbook on her lap which contains pictures of him and newspaper accounts of his heroic deeds. Besides her, is the open case with his Purple Heart medal and a shell necklace sent to her before his death in Action in April. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 13, 1945.
