Mrs. Jacqueline Tubbs, 24, a person with infantile paralysis (polio), and her ex-soldier husband, Al C. Tubbs, shortly before Mrs. Tubbs was taken to the Gonzales Warm Springs Foundation for treatment. She is the first Fort Worth patient to go to the hospital. In this picture, she is sitting on her wheelchair with hands crossed. Her husband is standing next to her. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 9, 1945.
