Lieutenant Commander (Lt. Cmdr.) F. M. Bishop, shown with Mrs. Bishop, assumed duties as shore patrol commander in charge of a contingent of 22 patrolmen here. They are standing side by side, facing front. Mrs. Bishop is wearing a white dress and Lieutenant Commander (Lt. Cmdr.) is wearing uniform. Veteran of 30 months in the Caribbean area, Bishop comes to Fort Worth from Gulfport, Mississippi, where he directed shore patrol activities. The Bishops have two children, Carol, 14, and Seaman Clifford Bishop, who is serving in the Pacific area. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 8, 1945.
