    Lieutenant (Lt.) Bertha M. Bitzer has joined the staff of the Army Recruiting Station here as assistant recruiting officer in charge of the Fort Worth Women's Army Corps (WAC) recruiting district which includes 85 West Texas counties. Lieutenant (Lt.) Bitzer is shown in uniform, standing in a room and facing front. She is a native of Middlebury, Connecticut. She was commissioned July 21 at the Fort Des Moines, Iowa, Women's Army Corps (WAC) training school and has been in service two years. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, August 8, 1945.
