Shown here is Mrs. W. F. Snelson, 1105 Barclay, Fort Worth, Texas. She is in her kitchen and making plain vegetable salad for her sister, First Lieutenant (1st Lt.) Emma Costlow.., Army nurse. Emma is back in the States on leave after having lived on "pretty bad " dehydrated foods and Army rations for 22 months in the Pacific. She is visiting her sister, Mrs. Snelson and enjoying sister's salad. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 5, 1945.
