Description
Shown here is Miss Zoan Denman, 5317 Pershing, Fort Worth, Texas. She is standing in a room, happily wearing the lei of orchids and smiling. Fourteen orchids sent to her by airmail from Honolulu. The sender of the exotic gift was Jack Peters, petty officer, first class, who has been stationed in Honolulu with Naval Air Transport. Miss Denman met him in Fort Worth in 1943 when they both worked at Civil Aeronautics Administration. The surprise gift greeted Miss Denman and she thinks it is just gorgeous. She expects Peters to return to this country in a few months. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 6, 1945.
