    Description

    Reverend (Rev.) Josue Gonzales, recently appointed pastor of the First Mexican Methodist Church, by Bishop A. Frank Smith, will preach his first sermon there Sunday. He is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling. He is wearing a jacket and tie. Reverend Gonzalez was born near Monterey, California. He received his bachelor of divinity degree from Lydia Paterson Institute in 1937, and bachelor of arts degree from Southern Methodist University in November 1944. He succeeds Reverend (Rev.) Baltazar Saenz. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 4, 1945.
