Four Fort Worth ladies sit on their suitcases at the Texas & Pacific station and have a last look before entraining for Washington, D. C., where they will be employed by the Navy Department. Left to right they are Miss Lilyan R. Nueman, Arlington Heights High School graduate and from the Lena Pope Home; Miss Gloria Leath, graduate of Paschal High School and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Leath; Miss Peggy M. Whitehead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Whitehead and former student at TCU; and Miss Marjorie Wise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wise and recent graduate of Whitworth College in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 2, 1945.
