Description
A decentralized training program for all members of the Fort Worth battalion of the Texas State Guard (TSG) will be here August 8 under the direction of Colonel Donald Henley of the 8th Service Command. This local session is part of a statewide decentralized program which is bringing military instruction to the guard members. On the training agenda are courses in rifle, scout car, machine gun, patrolling, arrest and search, riot formation and administration. Major William C. Wilkes, Austin, of the adjutant general's office, was in Fort Worth on preliminaries. Major Wilkes will serve as G2 (intelligence) officer during the session of military instruction. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 2, 1945.
