Description
Robert H. Holder, 22, shipfitter first class, who has been in the Navy almost five years, left Sunday after spending a 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Holder. He is shown standing against a bare wall, wearing his Navy uniform and smiling for the camera. He was on convoy duty in the Atlantic 18 months. The last two years have been spent at the submarine repair base at Pearl Harbor. When he reported to Dallas for reassignment, he was accompanied by his bride, the former Miss Opal Martin. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 6, 1945.
