Description
A blaze, which started at 1:15 a.m. in the Robert Pearce Tire Company, razed all but two buildings in the 300 block of South Main Street. Shown is a shot of the Robert Pearce Tire Company as it went up in smoke and flames. A few of the 100 firefighters who fought the five-hour blaze are shown using a fire hose on the building.
