Joe Abreu, number 3, is the powerful right-handed shortstop for the Fort Worth Cats. He won the first game of the series against the Dallas Rebels with an eleventh inning homerun. He is shown in the fourth inning of the second game, narrowly missing another homer. The Rebels' right fielder, George Puccinelli caught the long drive a few feet from the stands.
